2016 Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 Superveloce by Novitec Torado

2016 lamborghini aventador lp750-4 superveloce by novitec torado - DOC676662A case can be made that a car like the Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 Superveloce doesn’t need any aftermarket upgrades. After all, it already packs a 6.5-liter V-12 engine that spits out 740 horsepower and 509 pound-feet of torque. That’s good for a sprint to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 217 mph, and that’s all Lamborghini. But there are still some tuners out there who’d beg to differ. One of these tuners is Novitec Torado, who may know from its past works on the base Aventador and the Lamborghini Huracán. The tuner also happens to have a new program for the Aventador SV, one that adds modest amount of power to the supercar, helping it reach a new output of 786 horsepower and 544 pound-feet of torque. Excessive, you ask? Nah.

The German tuner is like-minded with its counterparts Mansory and Wheelsandmore in the belief that even the fastest and most powerful cars in the world deserve some aftermarket love, and that’s exactly what Novitec Torado did. The engine upgrade is just one part of the tuner’s kit for the Aventador SV. It also offers some cosmetic and aerodynamic upgrades, interior personalization, suspension improvements, and of course, a set of brand-spankin’ new wheels that it commissioned from Vossen.

Truth be told, even with the rather modest improvement in power, Novitec Torado’s program for the Aventador SV borders on the comprehensive because of all the work it put in on the other sections of the car. Not that we’re complaining because as valid as the argument is that the Aventador LP750-4 Superveloce is awesome enough by itself, there’s still plenty of room for improvements, especially when those improvements come at the hands of a tuner that knows what it’s doing.Exterior

True to its reputation, Novitec Torado wasted little time giving the Aventador SV a meaningful styling and aerodynamic package that includes a front spoiler, new side skirts, and a massive rear wing. All three components are made from carbon fiber, thus making them lighter than their standard counterparts on top of the improvements in airflow and downforce that they provide. A ventilated hood and revised side scoops also do their part while the carbon fiber mirror caps provide most of the cosmetic upgrades on the raunchy Aventador. Rounding out the exterior upgrades is a new set of 20- and 21-inch forged alloy wheels that wheel manufacturer Vossen created specifically for Novitec Torado. The wheels can be customized in 72 different colors and are shod in Pirelli P-Zero tires.

Interior

Novitec Torado didn’t announce the specifics of the interior modifications available for the Aventador SV, opting only to say that it has an interior department that offers a “vast array of colors and fabrics” that customers can choose from. The customizable nature of the cabin allows would-be clients to personalize the interior of their Aventador SVs in a manner that reflects their personalities.

It’s not a complicated upgrade by any means, but it’s enough to give the Italian supercar’s 6.5-liter V-12 engine an extra 36 horsepower and 35 pound-feet of torque

It’s amazing what a simple, albeit new engine mapping software and a new sports exhaust system can do to a car with the status of the Aventador Superveloce. It’s not a complicated upgrade by any means, but it’s enough to give the Italian supercar’s 6.5-liter V-12 engine an extra 36 horsepower and 35 pound-feet of torque, bringing its total output to 786 horsepower and 544 pound-feet of torque. It’s admittedly not much but it should still be good enough to beat out the standard Aventador SV’s 0-to-60-mph sprint time of 2.8 seconds and top speed of 217 mph. Considering the higher aero kit and the extra power, it’s reasonable to think that the Novitec Torado-tuned Aventador SV could sprint to 60 mph in about 2.7 seconds to go with a 220-mph speed. Point of order, though. These performance numbers aren’t accurate because the tuner declined to give out the actual figures. They’re just estimates.

Chassis And Suspension

The enhancements on the Aventador SV continue with improvements made to the supercar’s suspension. A sport spring set is available and when combined with the standard suspension is capable of reducing the car’s ride height by around 1.3 inches. The tuner is also offering aluminum spacers and a height adjustable coilover suspension kit from KW.

Pricing

Novitec Torado made no mention of the total cost that comes with getting the full tuning package. Interested customers are invited to contact the tuner directly to get a full price quote.

Lamborghini Aventador 750-4 Superveloce J.S.1 Edition By Mansory
One of the most famous tuners to take a crack at the Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 Superveloce is Mansory, which presented the one-off J.S.1 Edition back in February 2016. In addition to the extensive modifications made to the supercar’s body and interior, the J.S.1 featured an engine upgrade that boosts the Aventador SV’s output to 830 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque. It’s slightly more than what Novitec Torado was able to squeeze out to the Lambo’s 6.5-liter V-12 engine. In doing so, the tuner was also able to improve the Aventador SV’s 0-to-60-mph sprint time to just 2.7 seconds with a trip to 124 mph now taking just 8.4 seconds, two-tenths of a second faster than the standard model. Top speed also rises up to 220 mph.

Wheelsandmore is another one of those tuners that take pride in its performance upgrades. Back in December 2015, the German tuner presented its own tuning package for the Lamborghini Aventador Lamborghini Aventador SV and while it only involved remapping the car’s ECU unit, Wheelsandmore was still able to get 800 horsepower and 524 pound-feet of torque out of the 6.5-liter V-12 engine. The result is a car that could race to 60 mph in just 2.7 seconds - same as Mansory and Novitec Torado - to go with a top speed of about 218 mph.
